Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony

Dharmadutha College proudly hosted its annual Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony on the 7th of January 2025 at the Town Hall. The event was a grand occasion that marked the formal appointment of the new student leaders who will take on responsibilities for the academic years 2024 and 2025.

The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, followed by a welcome address delivered by the school principal. The event was attended by the school’s administration, teachers, parents, and students, who gathered to witness this momentous occasion.

The highlight of the ceremony was the appointment of the Head Prefects and Vice Head Prefects for both 2024 and 2025. The outgoing Head Prefect and Vice Head Prefects of 2024 were formally recognized for their exemplary service, and the newly selected Head Prefect and Vice Head Prefects for the same year were ceremonially badged. Similarly, the Head Prefect and Vice Head Prefects for 2025 were also appointed during the event, marking a dual transition of leadership.

The newly appointed prefects pledged to uphold the values and traditions of Dharmadutha College, vowing to serve their school community with dedication and integrity.

The principal, in his address, commended the outgoing leaders for their contributions and encouraged the new prefects to lead with responsibility and unity. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem, leaving the audience inspired by the spirit of student leadership.

This investiture ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the student leaders but also served as a reminder of the school’s commitment to fostering leadership and excellence among its students.
